YUHONG A335/SA335 Grade P22 Alloy Steel Seamless Tubes are carbon steel tubes to which chromium, molybdenum and sometimes vanadium have been added. Chromium improves high temperature strength and oxidation resistance and increases tensile strength, yield strength and hardness at room temperature.
Molybdenum improves strength, elastic limit, wear resistance, impact properties and hardenability. It improves resistance to softening, inhibits grain growth and makes chromium steels less likely to embrittle. Molybdenum is also the most effective additive for improving high-temperature creep strength or creep resistance, as well as improving the corrosion resistance of steel and inhibiting pitting.
Grade P22 is used in high-temperature service applications and is resistant to changes in its microstructure.
