Super Duplex 2507 ASTM A790 UNS S32750 Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe
ASTM A790 / ASME SA790 UNS S32750 Seamless Super Duplex Stainless Steel Pipe
Super duplex stainless steel pipes typically contain higher levels of chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen compared to standard duplex stainless steels. This composition provides increased strength and corrosion resistance. While super duplex steel pipes offer excellent properties, they can be more challenging to weld compared to other types of stainless steels. Due to their superior properties, super duplex stainless steel pipes are generally more expensive than standard duplex or austenitic stainless steel pipes. However, the long-term cost savings from their durability and corrosion resistance can outweigh the initial investment.
They are commonly used in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, marine environments, and desalination plants where corrosion resistance and high strength are crucial requirements.
