ASTM A249 Specfication covers nominal-wall-thickness welded tubes and heavily cold worked welded tubes made from the austenitic steels. ASTM A249 material shall conform to the prescribed tensile and hardness properties such as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and Rockwell hardness number.

1.A249/SA249
- A249 is a specification from the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) for welded austenitic stainless steel tubes.

2.Bright Annealed (BA)
- Bright annealed refers to a heat treatment process where the tube is annealed (heated and cooled) in a controlled atmosphere to achieve:

- Improved corrosion resistance and a cleaner surface.
- Often used in industries requiring a high-quality surface finish, such as pharmaceutical, food processing, or decorative applications.
