ASTM A182 F904L stainless steel Flange is a premium material designed for highly demanding applications where common stainless steels like 304 and 316 would fail. Its superior corrosion resistance (in the corrosive environments, including sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and chloride-containing solutions.), durability, and performance in extreme environments justify its higher cost. 904L has a polished, attractive finish, making it suitable for architectural and decorative applications. In contrast, 304 and 316 are more economical and suitable for general-purpose usage with less demanding conditions.
