ASTM A269 TP316 stainless steel capillary tubes are bright annealed high precision tubes and have tight dimension tolerance. Stainless steel 316 capillary tubes are indispensable in industries where precision, corrosion resistance, and reliability are non-negotiable, such as chemical industry, precision intrusments, medical devices, oil and gas plants, and so on. YUHONG GROUP specializes in manufacturing ASTM A269 TP316/316L stainless steel capillary tubes for more than 30 years. We have several production lines and all of our tubes are passed strict inspection. Our stainless steel capillary tubes have no impurities, oil on the tubes' inside and outside surface, which is a suitable choice for high precision applications.
TP316 austenitic stainless steel, known for its enhanced corrosion resistance due to:
- Chromium (16–18%): Provides oxidation resistance.
- Nickel (10–14%): Stabilizes austenitic structure.
- Molybdenum (2–3%): Improves resistance to chlorides and acidic environments.
- Low carbon content (≤0.08%): Reduces carbide precipitation during welding.
Compared to TP304, TP316 offers superior performance in aggressive environments (e.g., marine, chemical). Unlike 316L (0.03% max carbon), TP316 may require post-weld annealing for critical applications.
Manufacturing Process:
Welding: High-precision methods ensure minimal weld seam defects.
Cold Drawing: Reduces diameter and wall thickness while improving surface finish.
Heat Treatment: Solution annealing (per ASTM A269) to restore corrosion resistance and ductility.
Surface Finish: Options include pickled, passivated, or bright annealed for cleanliness and corrosion resistance.
