ASTM B983 specifies requirements for seamless nickel-iron-chromium (Ni-Fe-Cr) alloy tubes for use in high temperature corrosive environments. The standard covers chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensions, tolerances, heat treatments, and testing protocols (hydrostatic pressure, nondestructive testing).
Incoloy 925 is a precipitation hardened nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper, titanium, and aluminum. It is designed for extreme environments where corrosion resistance and high strength are required.
