The blood lancet is a needle with solid tri-bevelled point, which is made of high-quality medical grade stainless steel 304 grade owing to its excellent corrosion resistance. Blood lancets, also called blood collection needles, are used to puncture the patient's skin and obtain a capillary blood sample for testing, typically from the fingertip, heel, or earlobe. The blood lancet is usually used to collect small drops of blood for point-of-care tests (glucose, hemoglobin, etc.). These lancet needles are commonly used for diabetes management or pediatric heel sticks.
