ASTM A789 UNS S31803 (SAF2205) duplex stainless steel pipe is a seamless or welded pipe with excellent mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance, which is widely used in harsh environments. Its composition is about 22% chromium, 5-6% nickel, 3% molybdenum and nitrogen, forming an austenite-ferrite duplex microstructure, giving it high strength (yield strength ≥ 450MPa), excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion, especially in chloride ion environments.
ASTM A789 UNS S31803 (SAF2205) duplex stainless steel pipe is suitable for fields such as oil and gas, marine engineering, chemical processing and seawater desalination. With the risk of no weld defects in the seamless process, it is particularly suitable for high pressure and high cycle load scenarios. At the same time, compared with traditional austenitic stainless steel (such as 316L), it can reduce wall thickness and reduce material costs. It is an ideal choice for both corrosion resistance and high strength requirements.
