EN 10216-5 UNS32205 (Duplex Stainless Steel 2205) Seamless Tube is a high-performance material with a duplex structure of austenite and ferrite. It has a tensile strength of 750-850 MPa and a yield strength of over 450 MPa, which is significantly better than traditional austenitic stainless steel. It also has excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC) and pitting (PREN≥35), and is suitable for harsh environments such as oil and gas transportation (resistance to H₂S/CO₂ corrosion), desalination high-pressure pipelines and chemical reactors.
It has a wide temperature resistance range (-50°C to 300°C), and its lightweight design can reduce wall thickness, but it is necessary to control the welding heat input (ER2209 welding material is recommended) and avoid the 475°C brittle range. It is an efficient corrosion-resistant solution to replace carbon steel or austenitic stainless steel.
EN 10216-5 UNS32205 seamless tube is based on European standards. It has become the preferred material for European energy, chemical and marine engineering through high strength, corrosion resistance and environmental compliance throughout the life cycle. Its manufacturing and testing strictly follow the EN/ISO system to ensure reliability under high pressure, corrosion and extreme temperatures.
