The advantage of Super Duplex S32750-- Corrosion Resistance
- Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN):** Typically >40 (Cr% + 3.3xMo% + 16xN%).
- Key Resistances:**
- Chloride Pitting & Crevice Corrosion (superior to 316L & standard duplex 2205/S31803).
- Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) in chlorides.
- General corrosion in acids, alkalis, seawater, brine.
- Erosion-Corrosion.
- Limitations:** Not suitable for strong reducing acids (e.g., sulfuric) without inhibitors; risk of embrittlement above ~300°C.
