ASTM A815 S32750 Tees are high-performance, wrought, solution-annealed, super duplex stainless steel fittings designed for demanding applications where exceptional strength, outstanding resistance to chloride-induced corrosion (pitting, crevice, SCC), and long service life are critical. Strict adherence to manufacturing, welding, and quality control procedures is essential to maintain their properties.
The advantage of Super Duplex S32750-- Corrosion Resistance
- Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN):** Typically >40 (Cr% + 3.3xMo% + 16xN%).
- Key Resistances:**
- Chloride Pitting & Crevice Corrosion (superior to 316L & standard duplex 2205/S31803).
- Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) in chlorides.
- General corrosion in acids, alkalis, seawater, brine.
- Erosion-Corrosion.
- Limitations:** Not suitable for strong reducing acids (e.g., sulfuric) without inhibitors; risk of embrittlement above ~300°C.
