Description
This product is a butt welding flange (Weld Neck) that meets the size requirements of the Australian standard AS2129. Its sealing surface is a flat face (FF). The material is duplex stainless steel (UNS S32205) that meets the ASTM A182 F60 standard. It has both high strength and excellent corrosion resistance (especially chloride corrosion resistance). It is suitable for harsh working conditions that require compliance with Australian standards and require corrosion resistance and high pressure resistance. When using it, it is necessary to ensure that the supporting equipment also has a flat sealing surface or use a suitable full-flat gasket.
The size of the AS 2129 flange is determined by the specific "table" (D, E or F) it follows. Table D corresponds to the European EN 1092-1 (DIN) size (PN series), Table E corresponds to the American ASME B16.5 size (Class series), and Table F is a pure metric size series unique to Australia. When specifying or selecting an AS 2129 flange, it is important to specify the "Table" to which it belongs (e.g. AS 2129 Table D PN16 DN100 WN RF), because the dimensions (e.g. PCD, number of bolt holes, thickness, etc.) between different tables may be completely different, even if the nominal size and pressure class are similar. This multi-table structure allows AS 2129 to adapt to equipment from different sources and international project requirements, while retaining Australian local size options.
