ISO9626 SUS304 AVF cannula / needle (back-eye tip) is a precision rigid stainless steel needle tubing component manufactured per “ISO 9626”, the international standard for stainless steel needle tubing for medical device fabrication, made from medical-grade SUS304 (1.4301) austenitic stainless steel, designed for arteriovenous fistula (AVF) cannulation in hemodialysis treatment. ISO 9626 defines dimensional tolerance, surface quality, straightness, mechanical performance and test methods for rigid stainless steel needle tubing intended for human medical devices, covering gauge sizes from 10G down to 34GISO. SUS304 is selected as the base material for AVF needle tubing because of its excellent corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, ductility and stable mechanical performance after precision cold drawing and annealing.
This AVF needle tube is cold-drawn welded micro tube, processed with precision cutting, deburring, tip grinding, back-eye hole laser drilling / mechanical punching, passivation and cleaning. It is produced in cleanroom-controlled environment to reduce particulate contamination. The finished metal tube is later assembled with plastic wing, luer hub and flexible extension tube to form complete hemodialysis AVF fistula needles.

Different Applications of AVF Cannula / Needle Tubes:
1. Back-eye arterial AVF needle tube: The most typical application. For drawing blood out from AVF into dialyzer. Prioritize stable high blood flow and anti-wall-suction function.
2. Plain bevel venous AVF needle tube: No back eye. For returning purified blood back to patient’s circulation. Flow requirement is relatively lower, focus on smooth blood return.
3. Thin-wall high-flow AVF tubing: Thin wall design increases inner lumen at same outer gauge, for maximizing blood flow while reducing outer puncture wound size.
4. Blunt / buttonhole AVF needle tubing: Modified blunt tip for buttonhole cannulation technique, reduces repeated fistula trauma for long-term dialysis patients.
5. Safety AVF needle substrate: Same SUS304 ISO9626 tubing, assembled with retractable safety mechanism for needlestick injury prevention.
6. Custom micro tubing: For R&D prototype, special vascular access device and extracorporeal circuit component development.
