253MA is a trademarked name for a high-performance austenitic stainless steel. It is designated under UNS S30815 and the European standard EN 1.4835. It is specifically designed for applications requiring excellent oxidation resistance, good creep strength, and structural stability at elevated temperatures (up to 1150°C / 2100°F). When manufactured to ASTM A312, it signifies that the pipe is a seamless or welded austenitic stainless steel pipe intended for high-temperature and general corrosive service.
