ASTM A312 TP310S / UNS S31008 / 1.4845 Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe
Yuhong Group has rich experience in supplying stainless steel pipes, covering 300series grades. ASTM A312 TP310S is a seamless austenitic stainless steel pipe with 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel. Its low carbon content (≤0.08%) improves weldability. Designed for extreme high-temperature service up to 1150°C (2100°F), it excels in oxidizing environments, resisting scaling, carburization, and thermal fatigue. Common uses include furnace parts, petrochemical cracking tubes, and power generation superheaters. Compared to 304/316 grades, it offers far better oxidation resistance but is not suited for ambient chlorides or reducing atmospheres. Seamless construction ensures strength and reliability. Welding is straightforward with matching filler, and post-weld heat treatment is typically unnecessary.

Key Comparisons to other stainless steels

vs. TP304/304H (1.4301/1.4948): TP310S has significantly higher oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength. Use TP310S above 800°C (1472°F) in oxidizing conditions.

vs. TP316/316H (1.4401/1.4919): TP316 is superior for aqueous corrosion (chlorides, acids). TP310S is far superior for dry, hot oxidizing gases. Do not use TP310S for high-pressure chloride service at ambient temperatures.

vs. TP309S (1.4833): TP309 has 23% Cr, 12% Ni. TP310S has even more Cr and Ni, giving it about 50°C (90°F) higher scaling resistance.
