ASTM A268/ASME SA268 TP410 is a welded or seamless stainless steel tube produced primarily for applications requiring moderate corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength, and resistance to scaling at elevated temperatures. TP410 corresponds to UNS S41000, the most widely used 12% chromium martensitic stainless steel grade. Different from austenitic 304/316 stainless steel, TP410 features a martensitic metallographic structure, which can be hardened via heat treatment. This seamless tube is produced through hot piercing and cold drawing processes without welding seams, ensuring integral structural uniformity, high pressure resistance and structural stability. It balances moderate atmospheric corrosion resistance, excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance, superior hardness and wear resistance, making it ideal for working conditions requiring mechanical strength, thermal stability and mild anti-corrosion performance, rather than extreme corrosive environments.
