The EN1092-1 F316L Stainless Steel Flat Face Plate Flange is a European-standard circular steel flange manufactured in accordance with EN 1092-1, the European standard for steel flanges and their connections. Designated as Type 01 (plate flange for welding), this flange is a flat, circular steel disc with bolt holes around the perimeter, featuring no hub and no raised face.
This product covers 24 nominal size specifications from DN10 to DN600, with pressure ratings spanning 8 classes from PN2.5 to PN100 (PN2.5/6/10/16/25/40/63/100). Compared with raised‑face (RF) flanges, this flat‑face flange requires the use of a full‑face gasket, which distributes the bolt preload evenly across the entire contact surface of the gasket. It is particularly suitable for connections to brittle or low‑strength equipment nozzles made of cast iron, plastic, or FRP, as well as for general industrial piping under medium‑to‑low pressure and non‑severe thermal cycling. Its “slip‑on” configuration greatly simplifies pipe alignment during installation and offers a cost advantage over weld‑neck (WN) flanges. This product is widely used for flange connections in medium‑to‑low pressure industrial piping systems across chemical and petrochemical, marine and offshore, water treatment, food and pharmaceutical, power generation, HVAC, and fire protection applications.
