ASME SA182 F316Ti / UNS S31635 Stainless Steel Flange Nozzle Flange for Pressure Vessels
ASME SA182 F316Ti / UNS S31635 Stainless Steel Flange SORF Nozzle Flange for Pressure Vessels
Key characteristics of 316Ti
-
Similar corrosion resistance to 316/316L, with molybdenum improving resistance to pitting and chlorides.
-
Titanium stabilization ties up carbon, reducing sensitization and improving intergranular corrosion resistance after welding or high-temperature exposure.
-
Good high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance.
-
Weldable and machinable by standard stainless steel methods.
-
Not immune to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
-
A slip-on flange has lower fatigue strength than a weld neck flange, so it is generally less suitable for severe cyclic service or very high nozzle loads.
