ASTM A269 Specification
ASTM A269 specification covers nominal-wall-thickness, seamless and welded austenitic steel tubing for general corrosion resisting and low or high temperature service, it is a common standard for stainless steel tubing, tubing is usually used in structure and machining purpose.
Heat Treatment
All tubing should be in solution condition, annealing is a critical procedure, it improves material properties, making tubing easy to fabricate and further processing, for TP304 stainless steel, minimum solution temperature should be 1040 degree, then rapidly cooling.
