Product Description

ASTM B444 GR.2 INCONEL 625 (NO6625) DIN 2.4856 NICKLE ALLOY SMLS PIPE

In ASTM B444, the specification specifically applies UNS N06852 and UNS N06219 for delivery in the solution-treated state. Regarding Inconel 625 (UNS N06625), the specification outlines two states:

  1. Grade 1 (Annealed): Grade 1 refers to the annealed state of Inconel 625. It is stronger and suitable for use at temperatures up to 1100°F (593°C). Grade 1 is typically the default delivery state for Inconel 625 seamless pipes and tubes. It is commonly used in applications where high corrosion resistance is required at moderately elevated temperatures.

  2. Grade 2 (Solution Annealed): Grade 2 corresponds to the solution annealed state of Inconel 625. This state is recommended when the material is intended for use above 1100°F (593°C). Grade 2 helps to improve the creep and fatigue properties of the alloy, making it suitable for high-temperature applications. If you have the need for Inconel 625 seamless pipes and tubes to be used at higher temperatures, Grade 2 is the appropriate choice.
