Overview

• Material:

1. A269 refers to the ASTM specification for seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel tubing, which is often used for general corrosion-resistant applications.
2. TP316L stands for "Type 316L", which is a low-carbon variant of Type 316 stainless steel. The low carbon content helps reduce carbide precipitation during welding, making it more resistant to corrosion, especially in weld areas.

• Surface Finish:

1. Bright Annealed: This refers to the tube being heat-treated in a controlled atmosphere furnace, typically followed by cooling in a way that preserves a smooth, shiny surface finish. The bright annealing process improves the surface finish of the tube, making it ideal for applications where aesthetic appearance is important.

316L is a less carbon variant of 316. Alloy 316L is generally used when welding is required to ensure maximum corrosion resistance. As 316L consists of lower carbon content it results in lesser carbide precipitation which is a result of welding.
