1 Scope
1.1 This part of EN 10253 specifies seamless and welded butt welded joints (elbows, concentric and eccentric reducers, equal diameters and reducers) made of austenitic and austenitic-ferritic (duplex) stainless steels. 1.2 Limitation of use
The allowable pressure and temperature are the responsibility of the customer in accordance with the existing technology and the application of the ety factor in the regulations, codes and standards. For random non-destructive testing equipment: 0.85;
For equipment that does not perform non-destructive testing except for visual inspection: 0.7.
1.3 Unless otherwise specified in this part of EN 10253, the general technical delivery requirements of EN 10021 apply.
