The HD-T005 Tissue Paper capillary rise tester is a specialized instrument for measuring the capillary liquid absorption height of unsized paper and paperboard using the Klemm method. The basic principle involves suspending a sample vertically with its lower end immersed in water, then measuring the capillary suction height after a specified period (typically 10 minutes ± 10 seconds).
This tester is primarily used for unsized paper and paperboard such as blotting paper and other highly absorbent papers. It is not suitable for materials with capillary liquid absorption height less than 5mm within 10 minutes.
