  A power transformer is a static electrical device. It utilizes the principle of electromagnetic induction to convert alternating current energy of one voltage and current into alternating current energy of another or several voltages and currents of the same frequency. It is mainly composed of an iron core, windings, oil tank, cooling device, insulating bushing, tap changer and other parts, and plays a key role in increasing or decreasing voltage, transmitting and distributing electrical energy in the power system.
    Power transformers can conveniently increase or decrease voltage according to the different demands of the power system, enabling the rational distribution and utilization of electrical energy in various links such as power generation, transmission, distribution and consumption, and meeting the voltage requirements of different electrical equipment.
