SCB basic info
Surge Backup Protector is a special device designed and produced according to the requirements of Lec61643-4-43 in article 430.3 :" Before the circuit causes danger, appropriate overcurrent protection device should be used ". Also known as SPD Backup Protector, SCB or SSD.
Why Use SCB?
1, SCB can quickly cut off the access to prevent the lightning protection device fire, cut off the current is less than 3A when the deterioration of the lightning protection device, abnormal overvoltage of the distribution line causes the short circuit of the SPD conduction;
2. When lightning strikes occur, the SCB connected in series in front of SPD can ensure that the lightning does not tripped, damage, and lightning protection is continuous and effective;
