Characteristic
Insulators are made of tempered glass. Due to the high mechanical strength of the surface layer of glass insulator, cracks are not easy to occur on the surface. Initially, insulators were mostly used in poles, and gradually developed into high-voltage wire towers with many disc-shaped insulators hanging at one end.
Toughened glass insulators should not fail due to various electromechanical stresses caused by changes in the environment and electrical load conditions. Otherwise, insulators will not play a significant role and will damage the service life of the entire line.
