1.This presents the technical overview of asphalt production from heavy oil, with emphasis on vacuum residue utilization.

The main processes—including straight-run distillation, oxidation, solvent deasphalting, and blending—are analyzed in terms of process flow, operating conditions, and product applications. The results indicate that heavy oil can be effectively converted into various grades of asphalt to meet industrial and paving specifications.
