Product Description
Description For Silica Bricks Silica bricks are primarily made from quartzite, with a SiO2 content exceeding 93%. Silica bricks are an acidic refractory material with excellent resistance to acidic slag corrosion and thermal conductivity. With a refractoriness of 1710-1730°C, their high refractoriness under load and high temperature strength ensure the long-term stability of the kiln structure, preventing collapse and deformation. Silica bricks are primarily used in high-temperature kilns such as coke ovens, glass melting furnaces, and hot blast furnaces.
Stable Capability, High Quality, Excellent Service, Competitive price is the most important advantage of our products.
Features
Silica Refractory Brick Features
1. Excellent refractoriness under load: Silica bricks can reach a temperature as high as 1640-1680°C. 2. High high-temperature strength: At high temperatures, the strength of silica bricks increases with increasing temperature. 3. Strong resistance to acidic slag erosion: As an acidic refractory material, silica bricks offer excellent resistance to acidic slag (such as FeO and SiO₂). 4. Excellent structural stability: The high refractoriness under load and high-temperature strength of silica bricks ensure the long-term stable operation of the kiln structure. 5. Long service life: Silica bricks' corrosion resistance and high-temperature stability ensure a long service life. 6. Excellent thermal insulation: Their low bulk density provides a certain degree of thermal insulation. 7. High cost-effectiveness: For certain large-scale industrial kilns, silica bricks are a key and economical choice for long-term, stable, and efficient operation.
Product Application
Refractory Silica Brick Application
Coke Ovens: This is the largest application area for silica bricks. The carbonization chamber, combustion chamber, and chute of a coke oven are almost entirely constructed with silica bricks. Glass Furnaces: Primarily used in the upper structures of glass furnaces, such as the crown (kiln roof) and breast wall. Hot Blast Furnaces: Primarily used in the high-temperature dome and upper checker bricks of hot blast furnaces. Acidic Steelmaking Furnaces: Silica bricks were once used in the roof and walls of acidic open-hearth and electric furnaces. Ceramic Kilns: Some ceramic tunnel kilns or shuttle kilns, which have higher firing temperatures, also use silica bricks in their high-temperature zones.
