Quick Start Guide
- Move the latches and open the front cover
- Load 8 lithium AA or alkaline AA batteries

- Switch to SETUP Mode

Product Overview
The KeepGuard CAM is a best-selling scouting camera designed for outdoor activity with water and snow resistance. Equipped with built-in infrared LEDs, it automatically triggers when detecting movement and captures high-quality photos or video clips.
Power Options
Battery Installation
After opening the two latches on the right side, you'll find 8 battery slots. For maximum battery life, we recommend using 8 lithium AA or alkaline AA batteries.
External Power Source
Optionally connect an external 6V DC power source to the "DC In" jack at the bottom. Use a power source with current output greater than 1000mA and ensure correct polarity.
Memory Configuration
The camera includes 32MB internal memory for firmware upgrades. Insert the SD card (in OFF mode) before operation, supporting up to 32GB capacity.
SD Card Formatting
Formatting removes all files and prepares the card for camera use. Press MENU, then RIGHT or LEFT keys to navigate to "Format" parameter setting menu. Press OK to enter sub-menu, highlight YES and press OK to confirm.
Operational Modes
OFF Mode
Safe mode for replacing SD card or batteries, transporting the device, or connecting to computer USB port for photo/video downloads.
ON Mode
Automatic operation mode where manual controls are disabled. The camera automatically takes photos or videos when triggered by PIR sensor detection of activity.
SETUP Mode
Configuration mode for checking and changing camera settings using the built-in LCD display.
SETUP Mode Operation
SETUP Mode Shortcut Keys:
- Switch to SETUP Mode
- Press MENU button
- Press RIGHT or LEFT key to scroll through parameters
- Press UP or DOWN key to select settings
- Press OK to save new setting
- Switch to ON Mode to begin capturing
