Wireline core drilling equipment is very commonly used for mineral exploration for deep holes because of practical usage.

During wireline core drilling operation, the core samples are recovered quickly by retrieving the inner tube directly through the drill string, other components including wireline drill rods etc remain in the hole until the drill bits needs to be replaced, vast of costs are saved when drilling deep holes for mineral exploration.

Roschen Standard wireline double tube core barrel are applicable for most drilling conditions, while wireline triple tube core barrel are mainly used for coal, clay bearing or highly fractured drilling formations. A split steel tube inside the inner tube retains the core sample in its received state for easier loading into core trays or for storage. The core lifter, core lifter case and stop ring are different from the standard double tube core barrel, a little smaller in diameter to retain the slightly smaller core.
