Roschen offers pup joints and rotary subs to compliment the drill string.  A complete range of drilling subs, floor subs and pump-in subs are manufactured in accordance with industry standard or client specific specifications.


Introductions of Pup Joints: 

Roschen pup joints are available in 5’, 10’, 15’ and 20’standard lengths. Pup joints up to 5’ length are integral manufactured similar to the same stringent specifications used for drill collars.    
                 
Those above 5' are produced as welded assemblies which are designed and manufactured in accordance to Roschen drill pipes.




Special sizes pup joints are also available upon request.

The rotary subs are available in standard sizes specified in API and in a full range of connection combinations. Special sizes and configurations are available upon request. 





Lift Subs/Lift Plugs: 

Roschen offers lift subs and lift plugs from size 3-1/8" to 11" manufactured to the same specifications used for drill collars. 


 

Manufacturing: 
 

All accessories except welded pup joints are manufactured from solid modified alloy steel bars similar to drill collars which are fully heat treated to the required chemistry and mechanical properties. The internal bore is trepanned with precision and machined to size with comprehensive quality control. 


Features: 

At request, connections can be cold rolled after machining and phosphate to reduce galling and corrosion.  
 

In addition, pup joint fatigue strength can be improved by incorporating stress relief features on API pin and box connections. Roschen high performance RS-DS and RS-MT connections can be machined on accessories to ensure compatibility to drill string already using RS-DS or RS MT connections.
