Overview:

Downhole motor is a kind of assembly to transform the hydraulic power into mechanical power, which adopts mud fluid and water as driving medium to pass through motor internal diameter. During drilling process, all drill stem components connected with bits do not rotate and only work as high pressure medium passing channel. Motor drives the drill bit through lower drive shaft assembly. There are many advantages of using downhole motor, for example, using downhole motor can provide a highly drilling speed but decrease the drill pipe abrasion. The tool becomes a necessary part for directional well drilling service.
