Yellow Plastic Basket Retainer for Soil Sampling Systems
This durable yellow plastic basket retainer is specifically designed for soil sampler applications in continuous sampling systems. Installed at the end of standard or tab samplers, it prevents soil samples from sliding out during withdrawal from boreholes.
Core Catcher Functionality
Retainer baskets work in conjunction with retainer basket bits to improve sample recovery in loose formations. The flexible fingers open to allow soil entry into side of core barrels or split spoon samplers, then securely retain the sample without leakage.
Ideal Applications
• Surface sampling and various depth sampling
• Sandstone layers and broken rock formations
• Loose cores that cannot be completely corrugated
• Soft formations requiring improved collection
• Split spoon samplers for cross-section evaluation
