Tricone Drill Bit Descriptiopn
- Cutting Structure
The reamer mainly consists of four or more cones. Cutting Structure with premium tungsten carbide hard facing or premium tungsten carbide insert of formulas and new techniques is utilized, and increases wear-resistance capability of reamer. The pilot is three cone bit( tricone bit ). - Seal and Lubrication
- High performance O-ring for bearing seal and advanced grease for lubrication.
- Application: It is suitable for the large size well, mining and infrastructure applications.

Tricone Drill Bit Feature
1. It can recycle; it just consume one third of its lifespan in oil exploration process.
2. It can withstand high wob under the conventional drilling rate.
Tricone Drill Bit Main advantage
- The wear-resistance of teeth is enhanced with premium tungsten carbide hard facing on the tooth surfaces for steel tooth bit.
- High precision roller bearing with two thrust faces. Ball lock the cone. Thrust faces hard-face with wear resistant alloy. Abrasion resistance and seizure resistance of the bearing are improved.
- Multiple gauge protection with gauge trimmers on the heel and gauge inserts on the gauge surface of the cone, tungsten carbide inserts and hard-facing on the shirttail increases gauge holding capability and bearing life.
Tricone Drill Bit Specification
Tricone bits , hole openers can be used to explore /drill gas/oil/geothermal/water wells. 3 7/8”~26” are available for Tricone bits. 4 1/2”~17 1/2” are available for Diamond PDC bits.
The TCI Tricone Bit ranges in size from 3.875” (88.9mm) to 28” (711.2mm)
The Mill Tooth TriCone Bit ranges in size from 5” (127mm to 32” (812.8mm)
