50CrVA has good mechanical and technological properties and high hardenability. The addition of vanadium refines the grain size of steel, reduces overheating sensitivity, improves strength and toughness, has high fatigue strength and high yield ratio. However, the weldability is poor and the cold deformation plasticity is low. It is a kind of higher grade spring, which is used as an important spring with large section and high load, as well as valve spring, piston spring and ety valve spring with working temperature<300 ºC. Generally, the supply specification of plates is 1.5~10.0MM, which is mostly in the annealed state, and more than 10~30mm is in the non-annealed state. The final heat treatment of medium carbon alloy spring steel is quenching and tempering. After heat treatment, the steel has good toughness, high proportion limit and strength limit, high fatigue strength, similar to the hardenability of 65Si2MnWA, high hardenability and low overheating sensitivity; When the service temperature of the part is 300 ºC, its elasticity can still be maintained. The machinability of steel is good, but the plasticity is low and the weldability is poor during cold deformation.
