Product Description
ASTM/ASME SA240 Grade 316L Stainless Steel HL Polished Sheets
Product Overview
ASTM/ASME Grade 316L stainless steel polished sheets offer exceptional corrosion resistance and mechanical properties for demanding industrial applications.
Material Specifications
Alloy 304 is a T-300 series austenitic stainless steel containing minimum 18% chromium and 8% nickel with maximum 0.08% carbon. This versatile alloy provides excellent corrosion resistance, outstanding formability, and tremendous strength for various commercial applications.
Key Applications
- Petroleum refineries and processing equipment
- Boilers, heat exchangers, and condensers
- Industrial pipelines and cooling towers
- Steam exhaust systems and power generation plants
- Fertilizer and chemical processing equipment
Performance Characteristics
Excellent oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 870°C and continuous service to 920°C. Continuous use in the 425-860°C range is not recommended if subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance is critical.
