Heat Treatment Properties
Annealing Process
Heat to 790-810°C with sufficient soaking time, then furnace cool. Maximum hardness: 248 HB.
Quenching & Tempering
Quench from 1191-1204°C in oil (60-66 HRc). High temperature tempering: 650-700°C (22-30 HRC). Low temperature tempering: 150-200°C (61-66 HRC).
Workability
Hot working range: 205-538°C. Cold working possible using conventional techniques in annealed/normalized conditions.
