ASTM A312 covers seamless and straight-seam welded austenitic pipe intended for high temperature and general corrosive service. Steel pipe of ASTM A312 should be marked with the following info: Pipe size, wall thickness, specification, grade, seamless or welded, heat number, etc. Welded pipe of ASTM A312 should not use filler metal in automatic welding, large diameter pipe may have 2 longitudinal welds, pipe can be hot finished or cold finished.
