Heat Treatment Specifications
Annealing Process
Slowly heat to 730°C with sufficient soaking time, then cool slowly in furnace to achieve maximum 250 HB hardness.
Hardening Process
Heat uniformly to 830-860°C (1526-1580°F) with 30 minutes per 25mm ruling section, then quench in oil.
Tempering Process
Temper at 540°C with minimum one hour soaking per 25mm thickness.
