One popular rope of this kind is 8x25Fi+ FC (strand:1 +6+ 6F+ 12). Filler strands are used in elevator ropes with diameter of greater than 1 6mm due to their improved flexibility. The fller strand is sensitive to geometric distortion which may lower the rope's service life. Filler strands for ropes with diameter less than 10mm is not recommended due to the extreme thinness of filler wires.
	Ropes of Warrington-Seale constructions (strand:1+7+7/7+14) feature a compact construction with solid support for the wires. This strand construction is used in compensating ropes with large diameters from 24mm. In such case the outer wires of a Seale strand would become excessively thick.
