Product Description

High Tensile Strength NC 6 / Alloy60/ CuNi6 Round / Ribbon Wire 0.6mm 0.2*5mm For Heating Cables

Product Description:

CuNi6 is often known as copper - nickel alloy 6 or cupronickel 6.
In some contexts, it might also be referred to simply as a 94 - 6 copper - nickel alloy (since it's approximately 94% copper and 6% nickel).

CuNi6 alloy wire is also known as "Cu Prothal 10" and "NC 6" in addition to being called CuNi6. These are some of the other common names for this alloy wire.

Advantages of CuNi6 alloy wire compared to other resistance wire materials:
  1. Good mechanical properties:
    • High tensile strength: It can withstand relatively high mechanical stress without easy breakage or deformation, which is important for applications where the wire may be subjected to tension, bending, or other mechanical forces. This makes it suitable for use in environments where the wire needs to maintain its structural integrity, such as in some industrial heating elements or electrical equipment that may experience vibration or movement.
    • Good bending proof performance: It can be bent to a certain extent without significant damage to the wire, allowing for easier installation and shaping in various applications.
  2. Resistance characteristics:
    • Higher resistance than copper: Compared to pure copper wire, CuNi6 alloy wire has a higher resistivity, which means it can generate more heat per unit of current passing through it. This makes it an efficient material for use in resistance heating applications, as less wire is needed to achieve the desired heating effect, saving space and material costs.
  3. Temperature stability:
    • High temperature resistance: It can operate at relatively high temperatures up to 220 °C without significant degradation in its properties. This is beneficial for applications that require the wire to function in high-temperature environments, such as in some industrial heating processes or high-temperature electrical equipment.
    • Low temperature coefficient of resistivity: The change in resistance of CuNi6 alloy wire with temperature is relatively small compared to some other materials. This ensures a more stable electrical performance over a wide range of temperatures, which is important for applications where accurate resistance control is required.
  4. Corrosion resistance:
    • Good resistance in certain environments: In normal atmospheric conditions at 20 °C, CuNi6 alloy wire has good corrosion resistance. It is also resistant to oxidation, which helps to maintain the wire's performance and lifespan over time. This is particularly important for applications where the wire may be exposed to air, moisture, or other corrosive substances.
  5. Non-magnetic property:
    • No interference with magnetic fields: In some applications where magnetic fields may be present, such as in certain electronic devices or near magnetic sensors, the non-magnetic property of CuNi6 alloy wire is an advantage. It ensures that the wire does not interact with the magnetic field and cause interference or errors in the operation of the device.
