1.6mm Thermal Spray Wire Nickel Chromium 80/20 (TAFA 06C equivalent) is a high-performance nickel/chrome/titanium alloy wire specifically engineered for boiler applications. This second-generation material replaces 06BXP and produces coatings with exceptional resistance to corrosive vanadium and sulfur gases in boiler atmospheres.
This material provides long-term protection for boiler tubes against high-temperature sulfidation. The wrought material demonstrates high resistance to sulfur/vanadium atmospheres up to 1800°F (982°C). In super heater sections of boilers, wrought material has shown a corrosion rate of only 2 mil per year over nine years of service. Coatings applied to boiler tubes have shown virtually no thickness loss or spalling after 24 months of continuous operation.
