AWS A5.4 E308L-16 Extra-low Carbon Stainless Steel Welding Rod Lime Titanium Type for Industrial Applications
AWS E308L-16 is a lime titanium type welding rod designed for extra-low carbon stainless steels. The weld metal provides excellent resistance to inter-crystal corrosion due to carbon content ≤0.04%. Suitable for all position welding applications.
Ideal for welding extra-low carbon stainless steel 00Cr19Ni10 (304L) and 0Cr18Ni10Ti stainless steel structures requiring corrosion resistance at temperatures below 300°C. Primarily used in synthetic fiber, fertilizer, petroleum, and chemical industry equipment.

Before welding, ensure weld metal is free from impurities including oil, rust, and moisture. Electrodes should be baked at 300-350°C for 1 hour. Use small current and short arc during welding with swaying broad less than 2.5 times the core rod diameter.
