Product Description
The HD-P010 McNett Fibre Classifier (Paul Fiber Sieving Instrument) is a specialized testing device for pulp and paper laboratories.
Application
The 5-level Ball Sieve (Ball Fiber Sieve) determines the weight average fiber length of pulp fibers by the sieving method. It measures the proportion of fibers of different lengths in the pulp, providing data on the distribution of various fiber lengths.
Principle
Pulp suspension is injected into the sifter, which contains stepped containers with screens. As the suspension flows between containers, fibers are retained on screens according to their length. After sieving at a controlled water flow rate, fibers are collected, dried, and weighed to determine mass percentages relative to the input sample.
