Alloy 625 is a Nickel, Chromium, Molybdenum alloy with added niobium which combines with the molybdenum to strengthen the matrix of the alloy to give high strength without having to carry out additional strengthening heat treatments.

Nickel Products
than that of other solid solution strengthened alloys. Inconel 625 has good oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 980℃ and shows good resistance to aqueous corrosion, but is relatively moderate compared to other more capable corrosion resistant alloys.
Application
The softened and annealed low-carbon alloy 625 is widely used in the chemical process industry. Its good corrosion resistance and
high strength enable it to be used as a thinner structural part. Alloy 625 can be used in situations where it is exposed to
seawater and subjected to high mechanical stress. Typical application areas:
* Components of organic chemical processes containing chlorides, especially where acid chloride catalysts are used
* Used in the manufacture of digesters and bleaching tanks in the pulp and paper industry
* Absorption tower, reheater, flue gas inlet baffle, fan (wet), stirrer, baffle and flue in the flue gas desulfurization system
* Used to manufacture equipment and components used in acid gas environments
* Acetic acid and acetic anhydride reaction generator
* Sulfuric acid condenser
