Product Description

Super Duplex 3000 PSI Corrosion Resistant Stainless Steel Tee

This super duplex stainless steel tee is engineered for the most demanding corrosive, high pressure environments in the offshore, subsea and chemical industries. Manufactured from UNS S32750 (2507) and UNS S32760 super duplex alloys, the fitting combines roughly double the yield strength of standard austenitic stainless steels with outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice and stress corrosion cracking.

Rated for 3000 PSI class service, the tee is forged to NORSOK M-650 requirements, solution annealed and passivated to restore a chromium rich passive layer. With a pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) above 40, this corrosion resistant tee outlasts SS316L in chloride rich and hydrogen sulfide service, reducing replacement frequency and total cost of ownership.

Key Advantages

  • Super duplex 2507 doubles the yield strength of SS316L, enabling thinner, lighter designs.
  • PREN above 40 delivers exceptional pitting and crevice corrosion resistance.
  • High resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC).
  • Forged to NORSOK M-650 with full material traceability and PMI verification.
  • Solution annealed and passivated for a uniform, protective passive layer.

Applications

  • Offshore topside and subsea manifolds.
  • Seawater cooling and fire water systems.
  • Chemical and desalination high pressure lines.
  • Oil and gas production with sour service (H2S).

FAQ

Q: Why choose super duplex over SS316L for high pressure service?
A: Super duplex 2507 offers about twice the yield strength of SS316L and a PREN above 40, so it resists pitting and chloride stress corrosion cracking far better in high pressure, chloride rich conditions.

Q: Is this tee suitable for sour service?
A: Yes. UNS S32750 and S32760 are widely used in sour service and are typically qualified to NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 for H2S containing environments when processed correctly.

Q: What certifications are provided?
A: The tee is supplied with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates, NORSOK M-650 documentation and PMI reports confirming alloy composition.

Manufacturing & Quality Control

The super duplex tee is forged from UNS S32750 and S32760 billet under NORSOK M-650 qualified procedures, then solution annealed and water quenched to achieve a balanced ferrite-austenite microstructure. A passivation treatment restores the passive chromium oxide layer that underpins its PREN above 40. Every fitting is PMI tested, dimensionally verified and supplied with full documentation for subsea and topside qualification.

  • NORSOK M-650 qualified forging with full traceability.
  • Solution annealed and quenched for balanced microstructure.
  • PMI verified alloy composition on every heat.
  • Documentation package for offshore project qualification.

More Questions

Q: Can this super duplex tee be supplied with project-specific documentation?
A: Yes, we provide complete MTR, NORSOK M-650 and PMI documentation packages tailored to offshore, subsea and EPC project qualification requirements.

We supply super duplex stainless steel tees to offshore operators, EPC contractors and desalination plants worldwide, with production qualified to NORSOK M-650 and documentation packages tailored to each project's qualification requirements.
