ANSI B16.5 ASTM A105 Carbon Steel Forged Raised Face Inconel Threaded Flange

Threaded Flanges is used for special circumstances with their main advantage being that they can be attached to the pipe without welding. Sometimes a seal weld is also used in conjunction with the threaded connection. This special type of flange is generally used for high pressure piping system, yet smaller diameter applications. Obviously, the larger the flange is, the harder the ability to machine a thread would be.

Threaded Flange Types

There are two types of threaded flanges. One is to seal the two pipe ends with a certain sealing surface and a lens pad. This type of flange is mostly used for ammonia production. But it has been used less recently, and the lens pad has been replaced by a metal ring.

The other type is the same as a normal flange, sealed with two flange sealing faces.

Facing Types

There are two facing types for threaded flange, raised face flange and ring joint flange.

Raised Face Threaded Flange

When the gasket surface area is above the bolted line of the flange, the raised face flange is easily identified. It is compatible with a wide range of gaskets, from flat to semi-metallic and metallic types, either ring or full.
 
RTJ Threaded Flange

The ring joint flange has a circular groove to accommodate the ring joint gasket, which can be used when metal to metal seals are required. Especially in conditions for high pressure and high temperature.

Q: Does this tubing come with triclamp ends to be coupled together?A: This particular tubing comes without tri-clamp ends standard. We can always weld tri-clamp ferrules to the end of tubes for any specific length you need. These products are referred to as tri-clamp spool assemblies. If you need a specific length, please

Q: Are you able to cut tubing to lengths that don't require freight shipping? Say 5' lengths for example.?
A:Yes, we are able to cut down to other sizes. UPS Ground is able to ship up to 7' without the tubing being considered "oversized".We do charge a cutting fee for this service, however. Please contact us for a quote.
 
Q:How much does 1 stick of 4" tube weigh?
A: One 20' Stick of 4" Sanitary Tubing weighs approximately 75 pounds.
 
Q:You list gauge of this tubing at 16, but the wall thickness at 0.065". Isn't 16 gauge 0.0625"?
A: The wall thickness and gauges are all displayed in the table below. Please contact us if you have any other questions.
 
Q: Do you sell tubing in anything less than cases? I need to order just over 400 feet but don't want to pay for two cases as this is More than I need.

A:  We do sell tubing on an individual basis however there is a $50 "broken box" fee applied to any order less than an entire case.Since we don't offer a way to order individual tube pieces online please call us to place an order over the phone.
 
Q: Do this product ship via freight?
