1. Power on the system and open admission and slurry valves
2. Close return slurry and iron discharge valves, then initiate magnetization
3. After predetermined processing time, close admission and slurry valves
4. Open back slurry valve to discharge remaining slurry
5. Perform magnetic cutting and close all valves except iron discharge
6. Open iron discharge valve to remove collected magnetic materials
