High Gloss Finish Thick 3K Carbon Fiber Plate – 1.5 mm x 500mm x 500mm

Carbon fibre sheet manufactured using 100% high-strength carbon fibre reinforcement cured under pressure and temperature to produce a high-performance sheet suitable for fully structural applications whilst also having a class-A (cosmetic) finish on one side.

The visible surface of the sheet uses a ‘visual quality’ 2/2 twill, 3k woven carbon fibre fabric and has a high-gloss finish. The reverse side of the sheet is finished with a flat but textured ‘peel-ply’ finish suitable for secondary bonding.

These carbon fiber sheets contain 100% carbon fiber imported from Japan, Strong Strength, and Light Weight. The surface is a 3K twill weave, matte surface without any glass fiber contents. The plate panel can be used to construct strong structures, create supports, or for fabricating your own parts! It is especially applicable for Multicopter, Helicopter, and RC airplanes.

To create a more uniform distribution of strength, all Enhanced Composites sheets are manufactured using layers of 0°/90° and 45°/-45° oriented reinforcement in what is known as quasi-isotropic fiber orientation. Carbon fiber sheets using this layup technique offer improved stiffness across their diagonal axis and significantly improved torsional stiffness.

All panels are made with a high-performance epoxy resin that offers excellent mechanical functions, clarity, and improved UV stability, however, we recommend a UV-stable coat to prolong the grade-A finish. An elevated post-cure temperature is applied to increase the mechanical strength of the panel, resulting in a higher Tg and enhancing the inter-laminar sheer strength.
