High Strength To Weight Ratio Uniformity Pultruded Carbon Fiber Tube
High Strength-to-Weight Ratio Uniformity Pultruded Carbon Fiber Tube
Pultruded in an epoxy resin, LIJIN Carbon Fiber pultruded components are exceptionally straight and rigid and are an ideal building material for frames, trusses, and for use as reinforcing material. They are perfect for applications of bending and pulling as the carbon fibers run the length of the component. Because tubes, rods, and strips are fundamental building blocks, they find great utility in the building of high-performance structures and work well in concert with LIJIN carbon fiber laminates. LIJIN pultruded components are easy to work with. They can be cut with a band saw, coping saw, scroll saw, end mill, or Dremel tool. Because LIJIN pultruded carbon fiber components are pultruded in an epoxy matrix they will bond readily with epoxy resins. Not recommended for applications that require torsional strength or side loads.
Key Characteristics
- High Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Pultruded carbon fiber tubes are incredibly strong yet lightweight, making them ideal for applications where weight savings are crucial.
- Uniformity: The pultrusion process ensures uniform cross-sectional dimensions and consistent quality along the length of the tube.
- Rigidity: These tubes are very rigid and have minimal flex, making them suitable for structural applications.
- Corrosion Resistance: They resist corrosion and chemical damage, which extends their lifespan in harsh environments.
- Dimensional Stability: Excellent stability under various environmental conditions, including changes in temperature and humidity.
- Electrical Conductivity: Depending on the resin used, they can offer varying degrees of electrical conductivity or insulation.
