Our carbon fibre tubes are manufactured with a high volume fraction of carbon fibre in a vinylester or epoxy matrix.

We manufacture a wide range of unidirectional tubes from 1mm up to 12.7mm in diameter. Unidirectional carbon fibre tubes provide great mechanical properties and give the maximum longitudinal strength.

Carbon tubes 14mm and above in diameter are pullwound and manufactured in an epoxy matrix. The carbon fibre is multiple-layered, unidirectional carbon fibre with an internally pull braided carbon fibre at 80° across the axis, and externally wound with a 37° double helix braid providing exceptional mechanical properties resistant to bending and torsional forces with a smooth surface finish.

Roll wrapped tubing is manufactured using multiple layers of prepreg carbon fiber (and if noted, other) materials. In general each layer is about 0.006 inches thick which means that a tube with a wall thickness of 0.060 inches will typically be composed of 9-10 individual layers of carbon fiber. The number of layers (plys) allows us to vary the orientation of the fibers throughout the thickness, creating a high performance, engineered product.
